A Thanksgiving Reel VLOG by Andrew Foster
Thanksgiving gets a lot of credit for being “the food holiday.”
But anyone who’s lived through more than one of them knows the truth:
It’s never really about the food.
It’s about the table.
And the circus of humans who gather around it.
Every family shows up with its own cast of characters.
There’s the reliable crew — the ones who’ve been there every year, the ones who bring real dishes (not gas station pies), and the ones who know exactly how to carve a turkey without turning it into shrapnel.
Then there’s the dessert-only crowd — those strategic family members who mysteriously arrive right when the pies hit the table and somehow leave with three containers of leftovers.
You also get the late arrivals, the “drop-ins,” the cousin who brings a new boyfriend named something like Blaze every year, and of course the uncle who brings up politics before you even sit down.
Chaos?
Absolutely.
But it’s the chaos that makes the table what it is.
And here’s the twist:
the same thing is true in business.
When Reel Sportswear started, our table wasn’t big.
It wasn’t fancy.
Half the time it wasn’t even level.
It was a folding table in a garage — held together with duct tape, stubbornness, and blind hope.
But people pulled up a chair anyway.
Not because the table looked impressive…
but because of the people around it.
Over the last twelve years, we’ve had customers, retailers, guides, friends, team members — folks who’ve sat with us through every awkward wobble, every early screw-up, every growing pain, and every win.
Those are the people we built this brand for.
Those are the people who made the table worth expanding.
And if you’re just finding us now?
Good news: there’s still a seat open.
Pull up a chair.
Grab a plate.
You’re welcome at this table — whether you’ve been here from Day One or you’re just joining the feast.
Just don’t be surprised if we hand you a spoon and tell you to stir the gravy.
Around here, everybody pitches in.
This Thanksgiving, whether your own table is loud, quiet, dysfunctional, joyful, or being held together by leftover duct tape…
we hope you look around and remember one thing:
It’s not the food that matters.
It’s the people at the table —
the day-ones, the drop-ins, and everyone in between.
Thanks for saving a seat for us.
We’re grateful you’re part of the Reel family.
Happy Thanksgiving from Reel Sportswear.
